Kakheti is the main and the most beautiful wine making region of the country. Famous Kakhetian wine-making Alazani valley is located between the Greater and the minor Caucasus, meaning the views and landscapes in Kakheti are one of the most beautiful in the country. Wine here differs from other wines of the world, due to its oldest and the unique production method. Many nations claim to be the oldest wine producers, however Unesco has confirmed that Georgia is indeed the oldest wine making region, with methods and secrets of wine-making being passed down through families and generations. Throughout the tour you will have opportunity to taste the local wine, bake bread in a stone oven using an ancient Georgian method, make and try famous Georgian sweet named Churchkhela-made from thickened grape juice which has previously been described as the Georgian “Snickers”, due to its combination of nuts and sweetness. Excellent food & wine alongside breath-taking views are guaranteed on this tour.
